Neal McDonough
Neal McDonough (born February 13, 1966 in Dorchester , Massachusetts ) is an American actor who became famous for his role as Lynn 'Buck' Compton in the Band of Brothers .
Life
McDonough grew up in Cape Cod as the youngest of six children. His parents Frank and Kitty McDonough were both born in Ireland . When he got into high school, he starred in a senior-class production of the musical You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and has known since then that he wanted to be an actor. When he chose Syracuse University , his father called him crazy. In 1988 he left the university with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. He was already active in college when he was in college and still plays tennis, golf, and participates in fundraisers with stars like Jason Priestley , Denis Leary and David Boreanaz .
His wife met McDonough on arrival in the UK to film the Band of Brothers . He married the South African model Ruvè Robertson on December 1, 2003 in a church in Beverly Hills . The couple has five children (* 2005, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2014).
Career
He made his film debut in 1990 in the film Darkman . His breakthrough came with the miniseries Band of Brothers as Lynn 'Buck' Compton . A big Star Trek fan, McDonough had a long dream of starring in a Star Trek movie. That wish came true in 1996 when he played a supporting role in Star Trek: First Contact .
He has also appeared in television productions such as The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases and Profiler . In the fifth season of the television series Desperate Housewives , he played Edie Britt's husband , Dave Williams . McDonough also wrote a screenplay for Ice about ice hockey player Eddie Shore and co-wrote Bill Johnson for Heartbreak Hill .
In 2012 he was seen as mafia gangster Robert Quarles in the third season of Justified as an opponent of Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins . He also played the role of Conrad in the 2018 action film Game Over, Man .
