Falko Kirsten

Falko Kirsten (born January 3, 1964 in Dresden ) is a former German figure skater who started in a single run for the GDR .

His club was the SC unit Dresden . From 1983 to 1987 he was GDR champion five times in a row . From 1981 to 1987 Kirsten took part in six European championships . His best result there was fifth place, which he achieved in 1985 and 1987 . At world championships , of which he competed five times in the same period, he did not get past twelfth place, which he finished three times ( 1983 , 1985 , 1986 ). At his only Olympic Games in 1984 in Sarajevo, he was sixteenth.

Today Kirsten is involved as chairman of the Saxon Ice Sports Association and as a technical specialist (judge) on a national and international level.
