Tobias Schröter (born May 12, 1964 in Dresden ) is a former German figure skater .

biography

At the age of three, Tobias Schröter began figure skating at what was then the SC Einheit Dresden sports club . Until 1978 he was a single runner. At the age of 14 he switched to pair skating. With his partner Katharina Barta he took second place at the championships of the GDR in 1981. In 1983 he moved to Berlin. Tobias Schröter took part in the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo with Babette Preußler . He later started with Katrin Kanitz . At the European Championships in 1987, both took third place. After 1989 he performed with Sabine Baeß , former world champion with Tassilo Thierbach in the sports couple, at shows, including in the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin. Dr. Tobias Schröter is a specialist in diagnostic radiology . He works in his MRI practice in Potsdam.
