Faramarz Ettehadieh

Faramarz Ettehadieh (born March 22, 1948 in Tehran ; actually Faramarz Ettehadieh-Rachti ) is an Austrian entrepreneur .

Life

Faramarz Ettehadieh was born in Tehran in 1948 . After the death of his father, university professor of chemistry at the University of Tehran , Ettehadieh's mother emigrated to Linz with him and his two sisters when he was eight years old. As a single mother, she opened and ran a carpet shop there, in which Faramarz Ettehadieh helped from childhood and thus gained her first experience as a businessman.

After graduating from a secondary school in Linz, he studied economics at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz . In 1972 he sponsored a diploma thesis on asset management companies, and in 1974 he received his doctorate with a dissertation on the subject of equity participation and investment companies.

In 1972 Ettehadieh began his activity in the building construction industry and founded the Imperial Finance Group , which developed into a group of companies with extensive international activities in the areas of real estate, real estate investment, tourism and media. Imperial realized over 50,000 investors, more than 100 construction projects in Austria , Germany , Italy and Hungary in the areas of commercial, residential and hotel properties, including the Austrian hotel chain Cordial .

Because of the decline in the value of investment products of the Imperial Financial Group, there have been repeated lawsuits against the company and Ettehadieh since 2001, which have also been extensively discussed in the media. The proceedings ended in 2008 with an acquittal and were finally terminated in February 2016.

In 1985 the Cordial Ferienclub AG was founded . This established the time-sharing system in Austria and developed into a resort hotel chain with mostly self-developed facilities in Vienna , Reith bei Kitzbühel , Bad Gastein , Kirchberg , Salzburg , Achenkirch , Going , and in Gavorrano in Tuscany . The Cordial Ferienclub has around 8,700 members (2011), the majority of whom come from Germany.

In 1992 the Imperial Bank was founded, which has been operating as a Partner Bank since 1999 and is considered the first private bank in Upper Austria since the establishment of the Second Republic.

In 1995 Ettehadieh played a key role in founding the daily newspaper Wirtschaftsblatt , which was then the only Austrian daily newspaper with a focus on business.

In 1996 Faramarz Ettehadieh and his wife Bahia founded the non-profit organization TwoWings , an association that focuses on the promotion of training programs in developing countries especially for girls and women.

Ettehadieh was a board member in the Club of Budapest .

Faramarz Ettehadieh is married and has three children.
