The Farrenpoint ( 1273 m ) is a summit in the Wendelstein area , which belongs to the Mangfall Mountains in the Bavarian Prealps .
topography
With the Farrenpoint ends the ridge, which stretches north from the Hochsalwand over the Rampoldplatte and the Mitterberg ( 1214 m ), southwest of Bad Feilnbach . The summit area of the Farrenpoint, which is wooded on all sides, with a summit cross, is covered, like the southern slope, with alpine meadows, on which the Huber Alm is just below the summit.
Alpinism
The mountain is easy to climb and offers a beautiful view of the Bad Aiblinger Alpine foothills. From Bad Feilnbach, Altofing , Kutterling and Litzldorf in the north, the walking time is around one and a half to two hours. The Farrenpoint can be reached from the Schlipfgrub-Alm via the Hansen-Alm and Walch-Alm in one and a half hours.
