Fatima is a drama film directed by Marco Pontecorvo , due to be released on August 14, 2020.

The film follows the story of the three shepherd children Lúcia dos Santos and their relatives Jacinta and Francisco Marto , who told their village of several apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917. While some people believe them, the secularist government and the Roman Catholic Church doubt their history. Nevertheless, the apparitions are becoming more and more popular and more and more pilgrims are drawn to Fátima to attend the apparition on October 13, 1917 .

The shooting took place in Portugal and contained excerpts from the anniversary fair in Fátima in May 2017 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the apparitions.
