Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas is a trancecore band from Kobe , Hyogo Prefecture , Japan, founded in 2008 .

history

Fear, and Loathing was founded in Las Vegas in 2008 in Kobe , Hyōgo Prefecture, when the musicians of the now disbanded groups Ending for a Start and Blank Time decided to found a new band. The group's first official line-up consisted of Keisuke Minami, Sxun, Taiki, Tomonori and MaShu, before So Takeda became a sixth member of the band. In the meantime, bassist MaShu and guitarist Sxun left the group. MaShu was replaced by Kei, who was the bass player in the band until his death from heart failure in 2019.

The group released in 2008 with My Dear Lady, Will You Dance with Me Tonight? and Scorching Epochal Sensation two demos before the group was signed by VAP and two years later they released an EP with ~ Entering the New World ~ and their debut album with Dance & Scream . This was followed by other EPs, albums and several singles, some of which were able to reach listings in the Japanese music charts . Some songs have been used as music for video games and anime series such as Hunter × Hunter , Mobile Suit Gundam , Gakuen Basara , Grappler Baki , Parasyte - The Maxim, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 . The British professional wrestler Neville , who participated in Japan as Pac at Dragon Gate , also used a song by the group as invasion music.

The band's concerts have mainly taken place in Japan to this day. There the group played twice at the Ozzfest , as well as concerts with Crystal Lake , Babymetal and Fall Out Boy . So far the group has only played a few concerts in South Korea , Taiwan and France .

music

The music of Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas can by and large be described as trancecore , where danceable trance beats meet hard metal sounds . Most of the lyrics are in English .
