Felicità (Italian for "luck") is a song by the Italian pop duo Al Bano & Romina Power , which was released in early 1982 as a single from the album of the same name. With the song, which is one of their best known, they reached second place at the Sanremo Festival in 1982 .
Origin and content
The song was written by Cristiano Minellono , Dario Farina and Gino de Stefani and produced by Farina. In the lyrics, Al Bano and Romina Power sing about the happiness of love, whereby the lyrics can also be related to themselves and their relationship. It is a mid-tempo pop ballad played with synthesizers with staccato stanzas and a very approachable, rather solemn refrain.
In 1982 Al Bano and Romina Power took part with the song at the Sanremo Festival and were able to achieve second place. The song then became a hit outside of Italy, especially in German-speaking countries. But the song also became known in Spanish-speaking countries, which is why the two also recorded a Spanish version, Felicidad .
