The Feliks Dzerzhinskiy ( Russian Феликс Дзержинский , German Felix Dzerzhinsky ) is a river cruise ship that was built in 1978 in Czechoslovakia in the shipyard Narodny Podnik Škoda in Komárno . It is operated from Wodochod on the Volga . The ship bears the name of the founder and first head of the Cheka , the first secret police in Soviet Russia , Felix Dzerzhinsky .

The ship with four passenger decks was built in 1978 at the Slovak shipyard Narodny Podnik Škoda in Komárno (now Slovenské Lodenice Komárno, at that time part of the Škoda Group ) as Feliks Dzerzhinskiy for the Volga shipping company Wolschskoje Parochodstwo in Nizhny Novgorod . She belonged to a series of 9 ships of the Valerian Kuybyshev class produced from 1976 to 1983 , which was also known as "Project 92-016" or "OL400" (Slovak: osobna lod 400 - German: for 400 passengers). The Feliks Dzerzhinskiy has a diesel-electric drive with three main engines, each 736 kW.
