Felix Tretter

Felix Tretter (* 1949 in Villach ) is an Austrian psychologist and psychiatrist ; From 1992 to 2014 he was the medical director of the addiction department at the Isar-Amper-Klinikum München-Ost .

Career

After graduating from the Stiftsgymnasium St. Paul in Sankt Paul im Lavanttal , Tretter studied psychology , sociology and medicine at the University of Vienna from 1969 . He completed his psychology studies in 1974 with a dissertation on brain research as Dr. phil. from. From 1972 to 1979 he worked on this topic at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich . With a sociological work on the health care he received his doctorate in 1979 at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Dr. rer. pole. From 1981 he worked on a ward for drug addicts in Parsberg before moving to Haar at what was then the district hospital, which is now the Isar-Amper-Klinikum. After his doctorate as Dr. med. at the University of Munich in 1992 he became chief physician of the addiction department there that same year. In the fall of 2014, Tretter retired as head physician in Haar. However, he continued to devote himself to his fields of work in publications, lectures and seminars.

In 1999 , Tretter completed his habilitation in clinical psychology ; he is an adjunct professor at the Department of Psychology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Felix Tretter has been a Fellow at the Bertalanffy Center for the Study of Systems Science (BCSSS) in Vienna since 2015 .

Special interests

Tretter is working on a systems science modeling of schizophrenia and the mathematical representation of the interaction of the neurotransmitters and organizes working meetings with scientists from different disciplines for this purpose.
