Ferdinand Albert von Diezielsky , also von Diezelsky , (born August 3, 1805 in Halberstadt , † December 9, 1892 in Potsdam ) was royal Prussian major general and most recently the commander of the 2nd infantry regiment .

Life

origin

His parents were General Ferdinand Sigismund von Diezelsky (March 4, 1762 - November 30, 1835) and his wife Helene Juliane Albertine von Alvensleben (June 7, 1775 - March 23, 1826), daughter of the royal Prussian district administrator Gebhard XXVIII. von Alvensleben (January 5, 1734 - March 12, 1801).

military service

He came to Potsdam as a cadet on June 1, 1818 and moved to Berlin as a cadet on October 12, 1819 . There he became a non-commissioned officer on June 18, 1822 , was aggregated as a second lieutenant in the 1st Guard Regiment on foot in Potsdam on April 15, 1823 and was assigned there on June 12, 1826. From October 1, 1831 to September 30, 1834, he was posted to the General War School in Berlin. He was promoted to Premier-Lieutenant on April 18, 1840 and came on October 3, 1844 with a patent on August 16, 1843 as a captain and company commander in the 3rd Infantry Regiment. From there he was assigned to the 3rd Landwehr Regiment on October 4, 1846 , where he was entrusted with the command of the 1st Battalion in Insterburg . There he was appointed major on September 18, 1849 and detached to the command of the 1st Battalion of the 1st Landwehr Regiment. On March 11, 1851, he came as a commander in the Fusilier Battalion of the 4th Infantry Regiment .

Promoted to lieutenant colonel on July 12, 1855 , he joined the 2nd Infantry Regiment on May 22, 1858. There he was entrusted with the leadership and set à la suite of the regiment, on November 12, 1858 he was promoted to colonel and confirmed as commander. During the mobilization for the Franco-Prussian War , he joined the 12th Infantry Brigade on July 18, 1870 as deputy commander . For this he was given the character of major general on April 1, 1871 and returned to the inactive relationship on August 1, 1871.
