Ferdinand Botsy

Ferdinand Botsy OFMCap (born June 13, 1940 in Nosy Be ) is former bishop of Ambanja .

Life

Ferdinand Botsy joined the order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on March 9, 1969 . Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 8, 1976 Bishop of Ambanja .

The Archbishop of Tananarive , Cardinal Victor Razafimahatratra S.J. , donated his episcopal ordination on October 3rd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Albert Joseph Tsiahoana , Archbishop of Diégo-Suarez , and Jérôme Razafindrazaka , Bishop of Tamatave .

He resigned from his office on October 25, 1997.
