Ferdinand Schorbach

Ferdinand Schorbach (born July 19, 1846 in Kassel ; † January 30, 1912 in Munich ) was a German architect who worked primarily in the historicist styles of the neo-renaissance , neoclassicism , neo-baroque and - especially in the successor of Edwin Oppler in Hanover - designed in the style of the Hanover architecture school .

Life

Ferdinand Schorbach was a student of Georg Gottlob Ungewitter . Even at the time of the Kingdom of Hanover , he was 1,862 employees in the architectural firm of the year Edwin Oppler that this in Hannover temporarily in the by Hermann Hunaeus planned home Cohen operation.

In 1872 Schorbach first became a partner in Oppler's architectural office, only to take it over completely in 1880, Oppler's year of death.

Schorbach's employees included Carl Seiler , who had previously worked under Edwin Oppler, and Johann Heinrich Kastenholz , who, like Schorbach, were involved in the design of Villa Solms in Baden-Baden .

In 1912, the year Schorbach died, his colleague Johann Heinrich Kastenholz took over the architecture office.
