August Heinrich Friedrich Ferdinand Maria Graf von Korff called Schmising-Kerssenbrock (born March 3, 1817 at Brincke Castle , † September 29, 1891 in Münster ) was a Prussian district administrator in the Beckum district from 1850 to 1873.

Ferdinand von Korff called Schmising-Kerssenbrock comes from the Westphalian nobility Korff . His father Franz was the district administrator of the Halle district , his mother was Countess Julia Agnes zu Stolberg-Stolberg . His uncle Clemens was the district administrator of the Warendorf district .

Life

After passing the final examination at the high school Munster (20 August 1836) studied von Korff at the universities of Bonn (5 semesters) and Munich (one semester) Jura and put before the December 11, 1839 Court of Appeal Munster testing for Auskultator from. On June 11, 1842, he passed the examination for trainee lawyer with "good". At the same court he entered the civil service on December 17, 1839 as an auscultator. He received his certificate of appointment as court trainee on January 7, 1843. In July 1844, he became a government trainee at the Münster district government and worked from 1845 to 1847 as an assistant at the Beckum district office. In May 1848 he was entrusted with the municipal administration of the Beckum District Office; on November 13, 1850 he was finally appointed district administrator of the Beckum district. At his own request, he resigned from civil service on August 15, 1873 for health reasons.

Because of his ultramontane sentiments, von Korff was repeatedly urged by the Minister of the Interior to be more politically effective.

family

Korff married Anna Maria Katharina Helweg on September 4, 1851 in Münster (* September 6, 1820, † January 10, 1892). The couple had several children:
