Live and act

Fantini moved to France with his parents, where he spent his first years. After the outbreak of the Second World War , the family returned to Italy. There he received music lessons as a teenager between 1945 and 1951 and played in a small orchestra, which was led by his music teacher. After doing military service, he moved to Switzerland in 1953, where he began his career as a professional musician. Until 1964 he toured Europe and the Middle East with the Jean Couroyer dance orchestra and other bands.

Fantini was employed by Radio Beromünster's entertainment orchestra in 1964 , where he became one of the outstanding soloists. He was also used as a leader of smaller subgroups of the formation and so known to a wider audience. Until it was dissolved in 1986, it belonged to the DRS Bigband under the direction of Hans Moeckel and Peter Jacques .

With some colleagues from the DRS big band (Antonio Conde, Renato Anselmi , Roman Dylag , Curt Treier ) he had previously founded the Peacock Party Band , with which he subsequently worked more intensively and performed throughout Switzerland. Since 2002 he has formed a duo with guitarist Dani Solimine, with whom he recorded the CDs Parlez-moi d'amour and Source claire and went on tour. On his 80th birthday, the album Secret Dream with older recordings was released under his name . The Orchestra Antonio Conde released the album Melodien zum Träume (Tender Clarinet Sounds) with him as solo clarinetist in 1986 . Furthermore, he is on record with the Bert Campbell Orchestra , the Victor Burghardt & Mike Barone -Orchestra , the Rainbow Orchestra and Andreas Vollenweider heard.

His compositions are now part of the standard repertoire of accordionists all over Europe.
