The Feuerpalfen (also spelled Feuerpalven ) is a lookout pulpit a little below the 1741  m high Warteck , 1125 meters above the Königssee in the Berchtesgaden Alps . It is located in the Gotzen Mountains , a few minutes' walk from the managed Gotzenalm . Accessible either from the Salet landing stage at Königssee via the Kaunersteig ( surefootedness required) and the Regenalm or from the Kessel landing stage via the Gotzentalalm . You can also get here from Königssee via the Königsbachalm without a ship .

From the railing there is an imposing view of the east face of the Watzmann (see picture in the box) and down to St. Bartholomä on the opposite side of the Königsee (see following picture).

View down to St. Bartholomä (difference in altitude ~ 1100 m)

The difference in height to the lake surface is 1125 m.

Feuer palfen and Gotzenalm are also popular tour destinations for mountain bikers.
