The Fichtsee is about 1.5  ha large dystrophic bog lake in Sindelsbachfilz , one with nature standing Moor, in the village of Sindelsdorf . It is located two kilometers south-east of the center of Sindelsdorf and 3.5 km south of Penzberg at an altitude of 595 meters. The Loisach flows past 280 meters to the east.

On the satellite image an open water area of ​​only about one hectare can be made out, the rest is silted up or silted up zone.

To protect ground-breeding bird species, there is a ban on entering the nature reserve from March 20 to July 15. Outside of this time, the Sindelsbachfilz may only be entered on the existing paths. No such path leads to the Fichtsee.

Adjacent to the south, at a distance of two to four kilometers, are the other small mineral lakes in the Loisach-Kochelsee moors : Eichsee , Höllsee , Rohrsee , Rettensee and Karpfsee .
