Finland is a settlement on community-free area in Lake County in the US -amerikanischen State Minnesota . For statistical purposes, the place has been combined to form a census-designated place (CDP) . In 2010 Finland had 195 inhabitants.

Finland is not far from Lake Superior , the westernmost and highest of the Great Lakes . The place is 47 ° 24'53 "north latitude, 91 ° 14'57" west longitude and extends over 14.04 km². Finland is located in the center of the Crystal Bay Township .

Neighboring towns of Finland are Isabella (26 km north) and Illgen City (9.6 km south-southeast).

The closest major cities are Thunder Bay in the Canadian province of Ontario (218 km northeast) and Duluth (106 km southwest). Minneapolis , the largest city of Minnesota, is 354 km southwest.

The mouth of the Pigeon River , which forms the border with Canada, is 156 km northeast.
