First Nation Airways is a Nigerian airline based in Lagos and based at Lagos Airport .

history

First Nation Airways was founded in 2011 by former employees of Bellview Airlines , which was dissolved in 2009 . In April 2011, three Airbus A320-200s were delivered to the company, with which regular flight operations could commence in November 2011 after the air traffic operator's certificate had been issued. Flight operations ceased in June 2012 and the three A320s were finally returned to the lessor in October.

Flight operations were resumed in 2013 with two Airbus A319-100s . These two aircraft hit each other's wings at Lagos Airport in July 2015 and were damaged in the process. One of the two Airbuses was put back into operation in early August.

On September 2, 2016, flight operations had to be temporarily suspended because legal requirements could not be met.
