history

In 1997, Chanchangi Airlines started its independent flight operations and has since expanded its route network significantly.

In July 2010, Chanchangi Airlines was the Nigerian Aviation Authority NCAA a flight ban imposed as a legal provision permitting any operations with one aircraft. On October 19, 2010, Chanchangi Airlines resumed flight operations on the Abuja - Lagos route.

Incidents

  • On February 23, 1998, a Boeing 737-200 leased by Aviogenex with the aircraft registration number YU-ANU had an accident during training at Kaduna Airport. No people were harmed, but the machine burned out completely.
