Allied Air is a Nigerian cargo airline based in Lagos and based at Lagos Airport .

history

Allied Air was founded in 1998. In order to increase security and service quality, the Nigerian government demanded a capital increase from all domestic airlines on April 30, 2007, threatening to withdraw their launch rights; Allied Air was able to meet this deadline and continue flight operations.

Destinations

Allied Air only operates cargo flights throughout Africa as well as to Europe and the Far East .

Incidents

  • On June 2, 2012, an Allied Air Boeing 727-200F shot over the runway at Accra Airport and collided with a fully occupied minibus. Twelve people were killed and the four-person flight crew survived the accident.
