history
Dana Air was founded in 2007 and initially had a fleet of two aircraft. The fleet was gradually enlarged through the acquisition of used aircraft from Alaska Airlines . After the accident at the beginning of June 2012, the Nigerian supervisory authorities temporarily revoked the company's operating license. In September 2012 it was granted again and from April 22, 2013 Dana Air again offered flights from Abuja and Lagos to Port Harcourt .
Due to technical defects in the aircraft used, the Nigerian aviation safety authority NCAA again issued a flight ban to Dana Air in January 2014 until further notice. In December 2014, however, the airline was approved again.
