geography

course

The Fischbach arises from the confluence of the right Glasbach , also called Vorderbach , and the left Eschbach , which in turn arises from the left Hinterbach and the right Reutenbach and then takes up the Mittelbach in Fischbach , which belongs to the municipality of Niedereschach . The longer and more water-rich Glasbach is regarded as the main spring stream . From a hydrographic point of view, this can even be regarded as the main source of the Neckar , as the Fischbach has a higher water flow than the Badische Eschach , which in turn is the larger of the two source rivers and the Badische Eschach has more water and is longer than the Neckar, which is still young at its mouth . The Fischbach flows in a south-easterly direction and merges with the Baden Eschach at Niedereschach . According to the traditional interpretation, the water from here to Horgen (Badische) Eschach , according to the current interpretation, the more water-rich and longer Fischbach continues to Horgen, where it flows as a more water-rich, but there shorter tributary into the longer Württemberg Eschach , which is currently from the source it is simply called Eschach , with no name affix.
