Fitzendorf is a district of the Lower Franconian municipality of Burgpreppach in the Haßberge district .
Geographical location
Fitzendorf is two and a half kilometers west of Burgpreppach. The federal highway 303 runs one kilometer south of Fitzendorf . Fitzendorf is connected to the north with Ueschersdorf and Birkach and south and east with the B 303.
history
The first mention of Fitzendorf is in the fief book of Würzburg Bishop Gottfried III. from Hohenlohe . Since 1678 Fitzendorf belongs to the parish of Gemeinfeld ; From 1814 to 1852 the place belonged temporarily to Gemeinfeld politically.
The school, dating from the 19th century and closed in 1923, was reopened during World War II . The town's St. Josef Chapel, which was financed by the chapel building association founded in 1904, was also built during the Second World War.
On May 1, 1978 Fitzendorf became part of Burgpreppach as part of the municipal reform.
