Flórián Kovács

Flórián Kovács (born May 7, 1754 in Diósgyőr , Kingdom of Hungary ; † December 11, 1825 Satu Mare , Romania ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Satu Mare .

Life

It was on April 5, 1778 as a deacon and two weeks later on April 18 to priests ordained.

On December 21, 1821 he was appointed Bishop of Satu Mare by imperial decree Francis I. This appointment was confirmed by Pope Pius VII on April 19, 1822. He was consecrated on July 21 of the same year in the Cathedral of Satu Mare by József Vurum , Bishop of Oradea Mare .

Marked by illness, he died on December 11, 1825 in Satu Mare. He was the first bishop to be buried in the crypt of the Assumption Cathedral of Satu Mare.
