The flag of the Bahamas was adopted on July 10, 1973.
Description and meaning
It consists of three horizontal stripes: aquamarine at the top, yellow in the middle and aquamarine again at the bottom. These colors symbolize the beaches of the Bahamas and the water that surrounds them. A black triangle on the flagstick symbolizes unity.
