The governor's union jack

The Montserrat flag was introduced on April 10, 1909.

It's a Blue Ensign , with the Union Jack in the top left corner and the Montserrat coat of arms on the right. This shows Erin, who personifies Ireland , which is also recognizable from the golden harp, another symbol of Ireland. In this way the Irish ancestry of a large part of the colony's European immigrants is depicted.
