The Tristan da Cunhas flag is based on the Blue Ensign , like the flags of most of the British Overseas Territories , and was introduced on October 20, 2002. It is blue, outside the crest leading from Tristan da Cunha and the Union Jack in Gösch .

The coat of arms is divided, above in blue two albatrosses over an equilateral triangle [= an island mountain], all silver, mirrored below with wrong colors. On the shield a golden sea crown, above it a blue-rimmed light-blue fishing boat, on the brown mast a hoisted white-light-blue-white sling sail . Shield holders are two golden lobsters. Under the coat of arms on a silver ribbon, the black-letter motto "Our faith is our strength" ("Our faith is our strength").
