The official flag of Réunion is the flag of France , as the island is an overseas department of France .

Reunions regional flag

The General Council of the Département has its logo, a white R on a multicolored rectangle, on a white flag. Underneath, depending on the variant, there is the blue lettering "Conseil de la Réunion" or "Département de la Réunion"

Since 1982, Réunion has also been a French overseas region . The regional council wields a regional flag, which shows its logo on white: A sun in front of the blue hatched island, underneath the name of the region in black. Some variants show the words "Valorisons nous atouts" in blue below.
