Historical flags

From 1961 (officially July 1st, 1962, Independence Day) to 2001, Rwanda carried a flag with the Pan-African colors , with a black 'R' in the yellow field. Before that, it was just a simple tricolor that was identical to the flag of Guinea . The 'R' stands for the name of the country Rwanda.
