Flavon ( German obsolete Pflaumb , Nones : Flaon ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Contà in the province of Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region .
geography
The place is 36 km north of the provincial capital Trento at an altitude of 575 mslm on the orographic right side of the Val di Non .
history
Flavon was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with Cunevo and Terres on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Contà. On December 31, 2015, Flavon had 532 inhabitants on an area of 7.58 km². The neighboring communities were Tuenno , Nanno , Terres , Denno and Cunevo. The community belonged to the valley community Comunità della Val di Non .
