Nanno ( Nones : Nan , German outdated: Nain ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Ville d'Anaunia and until 2015 was an independent municipality in Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol .
geography
Nanno is located about 28 kilometers north-northwest of Trento at an altitude of 565 mslm on the orographic left side of the Val di Non in the middle of apple orchards. The Noce flows past east of Nanno . The community belonged to the valley community Comunità della Val di Non . The Portolo faction belonged to it. Neighboring communities were Cles , Flavon , Taio , Tassullo , Terres and Tuenno .
history
Castel Nanno , on the outskirts, was first mentioned in the 13th century. The present appearance of the Renaissance castle goes back to the 16th century. On January 1, 2016, Nanno merged with the municipalities of Tassullo and Tuenno to form the new municipality of Ville d'Anaunia.
