Tuenno ( Nones : Tuèn ) is a fraction and municipality seat of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Ville d'Anaunia in the province of Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region .
geography
The place is about 45 kilometers north-northwest of Trento and about 28 kilometers southwest of Bolzano at an altitude of 629 mslm on the orographic right side of the Non Valley . In Tuenno, the access road to Lake Tovel in the Brenta Adamello Nature Park turns .
history
Tuenno was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with the municipalities of Tassullo and Nanno on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Ville d'Anaunia. Tuenno had 2425 inhabitants on December 31, 2015 on an area of 71.29 km². The neighboring municipalities were Campodenno , Cles , Cunevo , Denno , Dimaro , Flavon , Molveno , Nanno, Ragoli , Spormaggiore , Tassullo and Terres . The community belonged to the valley community Comunità della Val di Non .
