Emergence

The Fliegergruppe Wien was founded in 1952 by Robert Elias, Oskar Reichel - Erlenhorst, Peter Nuel, Paul Ossenkopf, Ignaz Petertil and Friedrich Truley and was one of the first clubs after the Second World War to rebuild aviation in Austria and has been training pilots ever since . In 1954, the first aircraft that were housed at the Aspern airfield were purchased. In that year, Swiss motorized flight tickets were also acquired, as there was still no possibility in Austria. In 1977 the group moved to Vienna-Schwechat , 1999 to Wiener Neustadt and 2002 to Bad Vöslau. In 1998, a cooperation with the radio station Ö3 for traffic monitoring was concluded, which lasted until 2004.

The purpose of the association is the operation and maintenance of aircraft, as well as the promotion of aviation in general and the training of pilots. This gave the pilots of the three clubs 15 aircraft. It was established in a joint school with names 3Fly 'because by the inkrafttretenden EASA - regulations of the school system for a single club was made more difficult if not impossible.
