Flohleiten is a village in the Upper Austrian Innviertel and part of the municipality Taiskirchen im Innkreis in the district of Ried im Innkreis .
structure
The village is divided into the following settlements:
- Flohleiten ( Rotte , in dialect: Flöhlei'n [ flœˈlaɪn ])
- Kaserfeld (Rotte, Kaserföd )
- Displeasure ( Weiler , Ulussn )
history
The first documentary mention as Flochleitten can be found in the "Border, Goods and People's Description of the Schärding Regional Court" and comes from the year 1433. The place name means "(towards the Flohleitenbach) slightly sloping, forest-free area".
The name Kaserfeld refers to the Kasergut (Flohleiten No. 4) and Unlusten means “rubbish” or “displeasure” in Middle High German and is probably a ridiculous name.
