Floorball Mainz e. V. is a German floorball club from Mainz ( Rhineland-Palatinate ). The association was formed on October 22, 2013 from a department of the Fit und Gesund Hechtsheim e. V. and is registered with the local court and recognized as non-profit. Floorball Mainz is a founding member of the Floorball Association Rhineland-Palatinate / Saarland (Floorball RLP / Saar) and, with the men's team, women's team and four youth teams, is the largest floorball club in the association's area. Floorball Mainz is a member of the Floorball Association RLP / Saar , the City Sports Association Mainz , the Volleyball Association Rheinhessen and the Sportbund Rheinhessen .

In addition to floorball Mainz, only VBC Olympia Ludwigshafen has provided at least one team in all years. (As of 2017). As a seven-time and reigning RLP / Saar master, Floorball Mainz leads the development of the sport in the entire west.

offspring
Floorball Mainz has been working intensively with young people since the club was founded. In three years, four youth teams were created. The greatest success was the Hesse championship 2014/15 of the U11.
Floorball Mainz also cooperates with schools. School groups are offered in the Frauenlob-Gymnasium and in the Ludwig-Schwamb-Schule, further afternoon care in the Gutenberg-Gymnasium and the Eisgrub-Schule.
University sports
Since the 2015/2016 winter semester, floorball has been represented as a sport in the official university sport of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in cooperation with Floorball Mainz .
public relation
Floorball Mainz plays a pioneering role in the field of public relations with social media both with the German floorball clubs and the Mainz amateur sports clubs. In addition to a very active Facebook page, Floorball Mainz operates its own homepage, an Instagram page (since 2016) and a YouTube channel.
In 2016 Floorball Mainz was awarded the 15th place of the sports initiative prize of the city of Mainz for the concept "Digital First - Club Management in the 21st Century" - in which mainly the club work was carried out with social media .
