Flora Dolci (born October 9, 1999 ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Dolci made her international debut in December 2015 in the context of FIS races , before shortly afterwards she started in junior races in Prémanon and Hochfilzen . She also competed in junior races in December 2016 and impressed with two second places in Prémanon and Valdidentro . She then made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in La Clusaz on December 17, 2016 . As 44th, she remained without World Cup points over the 10 km in free style. Even with the relay, she landed a day later as 13th only in penultimate place. After two more junior races in Planica, she traveled with the team to the Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow . After sixth place over 5 km, Dolci took eighth place in the skiathlon. With the season she just missed the medal ranks and finished fourth.

On March 4, 2017, Dolci won the 7.5 km junior race in Ortisei in Val Gardena . It was followed by rather changeable results in the junior division before she was able to win another race in Campra on January 6, 2018 . At the following Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Goms in 2018 , however, she again missed top positions. She then stayed in the junior division for another year.

At the French U20 championships in 2018 in the Super Besse winter sports center , Dolci took third place in the sprint. In January she took part in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2019 in Lahti , she finished sixth over the 5 km. She was registered for the 15 km race, but did not start any more.

In February 2019, she started the cross-country Alpine Cup in Planica for the first time , but remained without a podium. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , she reached eighth place in the relay race together with Anouk Faivre-Picon , Laura Chamiot Maitral and Delphine Claudel . Their line-up came as a surprise, as France initially had no relay and only decided to start in the women's relay race when Dolci was nominated. Dolci was unable to qualify for the individual races due to a lack of World Cup starts.
