Delphine Claudel (born March 23, 1996 in Remiremont ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Claudel, who starts for La Bressaude, took part in U18 and U20 races in the Alpencup from 2012 to 2016 . She finished fourth in the U20 overall ranking in the 2015/16 season . Her best placings at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal were 13th place over 7.5 km freestyle and eighth place with the mixed relay. At the 2014 Junior World Ski Championships in Fiemme Valley , she came in 50th place over 5 km classic, 34th place in sprint and 26th place in skiathlon . The following year she ran at the Junior World Ski Championships in Almaty on 31st place over 5 km freestyle and 23rd place in sprint. Her best results at the Junior World Ski Championships 2016 in Râșnov were 19th place over 10 km freestyle and sixth place with the relay. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she started in Valdidentro in the Alpine Cup for the first time and finished 17th over 10 km classic. In La Clusaz she completed her first World Cup race , which she finished with 51st place in the 10 km mass start race. In the further course of the season she achieved third places in the Alpine Cup in Planica over 10 km freestyle and in St. Ulrich am Pillersee in the 15 km mass start race, her first podium positions and thus achieved tenth place in the overall standings. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she finished 24th in the skiathlon, 23rd in 10 km freestyle and 14th in the sprint. In the 2017/18 season she came in at the U23 World Ski Championships 2018 in Goms on 22nd place over 10 km classic and 21st place in the sprint and at the Olympic Winter Games 2018 in Pyeongchang on 57th place over 10 km freestyle and on the 12th place with the relay.

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, she scored her first World Cup points in Davos with 22nd place in the 10 km freestyle. In January 2019, she was ninth in the sprint and 15 km mass start race and sixth in the 10 km freestyle at the U23 World Ski Championships in Lahti . At the season highlight, the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol , she ran to 35th place in the sprint, 31st place in the skiathlon and eighth place in the relay. At the end of the season she achieved 49th place at the World Cup finals in Québec and reached 69th place in the overall World Cup. In the 2019/20 season she came in 23rd place in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 and in 16th place in the ski tour and thus reached 32nd place in the overall World Cup.
