Florian Gratz (* 1985 ) is a former German natural track luge . He competed in four World Cup races from 2001 to 2002 and took part in two Junior World and two European Championships .

Career

Gratz took part in international junior championships from 2000 to 2003, in which he mostly achieved placements in the lower midfield. At the Junior European Championships 2000 in Umhausen he finished 27th out of 36 rated tobogganists and 22nd place out of 32 tobogganists at the 2001 European Junior Championships in Tiers . He achieved his best result at the Junior World Championship in Gsies in 2002 , when he came 20th out of 35 starters. At his last international championship, the 2003 Junior European Championship in Kreuth , he was eliminated after a fall.

In the 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 seasons , Gratz also took part in two World Cup races. He made his World Cup debut on January 7, 2001 in Unterammergau , where he finished fourth from last in 24th place. A week later he was 27th in Lüsen and already left ten tobogganists behind him. The following winter he took part in the world cup races in Umhausen and Hüttau . In Umhausen he was fourth from bottom and finished 24th and in Hüttau 28th place out of 36 starters. In the overall World Cup he achieved 36th and 35th place respectively.
