Florida is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Florida is the central place of the canton of Florida in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Cabezas in the province of Cordillera . The community is located at an altitude of 583  m on the left, northern bank of the Río Seco Florida , which flows downstream a few kilometers southeast of the village of Río Seco into the Río Grande .

From Santa Cruz, the paved road Ruta 9 leads south via Mora and Río Seco, Cabezas , Abapó , Ipitá and Villamontes to Yacuiba on the Bolivian border with Argentina . In Río Seco a dirt road branches off in a north-westerly direction from Route 9 and after twenty kilometers, after crossing the Río Seco Florida, reaches the town of Florida .
