Florina Pană

Florina Pană (born January 20, 1973 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian long-distance runner .

Life

In 1998 she became the Romanian marathon champion .

The following year she won the Bordeaex Marathon and the Vienna City Marathon , came third in the 25 km from Berlin and Romanian champion over 10,000 m and came 13th in the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville.

In December 1999, it was announced that she had tested positive for an anabolic steroid during a training check before the World Half Marathon Championships in Palermo . Her fourth place at the World Half Marathon Championships was then denied, as was her victory at the Istanbul Marathon shortly afterwards.
