The Ivalo airport is an airport in Finnish Lapland .
It is the northernmost airport in the European Union and is located 11 km southwest of Ivalo , the capital of the municipality of Inari . The airport was renovated in 2015 by the operator Finavia . The airline Finnair flies daily to Helsinki . In addition, the Norwegian low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle flies to Helsinki several times a week.
Directions
By car you can reach the center of Ivalo after a drive of 11 kilometers. The Saariselkä winter sports resort is 25 km away. In addition to a shuttle bus, there are connections to taxis and a shared taxi as well as car rental companies at the airport.
