The Arnstadt-Alkersleben airfield is an airfield in the municipality of Alkersleben in Thuringia .
It is located in the Ilm district , about 25 km south of Erfurt , about 8 km east of Arnstadt . Single and multi-engine aircraft up to 5700 kg as well as ultralight and glider planes are allowed to land here according to visual flight rules (VFR). The traffic pattern is flown at 2100 ft. MSL . The following fuels are available at the airport: AVGAS 100LL, Mogas and Jet A-1. The taxiways, the parking areas, the air traffic control building and the hangar are located north of the runway.
Customs clearance of passengers for international flights is limited and only possible after prior notification. The airfield is used by a charter flight company, a powered flight school and five clubs, including for sightseeing flights and tandem parachute jumps. The Speeddays car races also take place.
