The Poltringen airfield is located in Ammerbuch in the Poltringen district . It is operated by the Ammerbuch aviation club , under whose roof the Unterjesingen and Herrenberg aviation clubs have come together in 1978.

Status and Regulations

The place is a special landing area and may only be used by powered aircraft of the resident aviation clubs. Exceptions must be approved by the placeholder, the municipality of Ammerbuch and, if necessary, the responsible regional council ( PPR regulation ).

The starting numbers and times for powered aircraft are limited in order to keep the noise pollution of the residents low. For the same reason, all aircraft stationed at the airport meet the requirements for so-called "increased noise protection".

The traffic pattern for powered aircraft is to be flown to the west of the airfield at an altitude of 2700 ft. The surrounding towns should not be overflown for noise protection reasons. These restrictions do not apply to sailplanes. They start at the airfield by winch launch or in an aircraft tow .

history

The airfield was first put into operation in the 1960s by Flugsportverein Herrenberg e. V. In 1972 the Flugsportverein Unterjesingen e. V. in addition. In 1978 the Flugsportverein Ammerbuch e. V. founded. It now has almost 500 members.
