The Sierksdorf / Hof-Altona airfield is 5 kilometers west of the Neustädter Bucht near Sierksdorf . There is a 500 meter long grass runway. The opening times apply according to PPR . The Sierksdorf / Hof-Altona airfield is one of the smallest airfields in Germany.
history
The airfield was founded in 1975 and taken over by the Ostholsteiner Aero Club in 2000 . In the 1990s, the Hof Altona airfield was granted permission to operate a special airfield on PPR. The parachutists of the NDR team have been training at this airfield since 1992.
use
Every year, the club organizes an open day with model flight demonstrations, classic car shows, aerobatic demonstrations and a parachute jump program.
Transport links
The Baltic Sea beach is just 1.7 km from the airport and can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. There are also bicycles / e-bikes available at the airfield, which can also be used for bike tours in the East Holstein landscape.
