Fluorfolpet is a chemical compound from the phthalimide group with an NS-CCl 2 F group. The compound is used as a fungicide in plastics and paints, as well as against blue stain in wood preservatives.

Fluorfolpet is the simply fluorinated derivative of Folpet . It is effective against all molds. The minimum inhibitory concentration is between 2 and 200 ppm.

Fluorfolpet completely hydrolyzes in aqueous solution at pH 7.8 and 20 ° C within 0.3 h. However, it is temperature-stable and can therefore be used as a microbicide for thermoplastics and stoving enamels .
