Aaron, a young outsider in a remote Scottish fishing village, is the sole survivor of a strange fishing accident. Five men died - including Aaron's older brother. Inspired by sailor folklore and local superstition, the villagers accuse Aaron of being to blame for the misfortune. He becomes an outlaw. Since he steadfastly refuses to believe in his brother's death, he sets out to find him and the other men.

The film was shot in Gourdon, Aberdeenshire . Work on the first cut began in Paul Wright's home in Fife and continued in London .
Awards (selection)
Director Paul Wright received the Douglas Hickox Award at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards . He was also at the British Academy Film Awards 2014 in the category youth development Best nominated.
