The trout raft is a left tributary of the upper Spree between Niederfriedersdorf and Neusalza-Spremberg in the Saxon district of Görlitz with a length of 4 kilometers.

description

The trout raft rises west of the Kumpfeberg ( 460  m ) on the northeast slope of the Jüttelberg ( Jitrovník , 509  m ). Its upper course leads north through the Schluckenau Forest, while the stream takes in from the west a tributary formed by several rivulets from the Grubenborn, which drains the saddle between the Jüttelsberg and the Sonneberg ( 401  m ). At the western foot of an unnamed knoll ( 363  m ) the brook reaches the moorland area at the Černý rybník pond, which is located directly on the German border, where a brook coming from the Kumpfeberg flows into it on the right. After two kilometers, the trout raft flows into the border forest on German territory and is dammed again in the black pond.

The stream then flows northeast to Neuspremberg , where it feeds the factory pond. The Sonneberg water coming from the Inselteich flows in from the west. The lower course of the Forellenflössel leads south past the Rumburger Straße industrial park and then crosses under the Oberoderwitz – Wilthen railway line . The stream flows into the Spree at the southern foot of the Sternberg ( 340  m ) in the Spreepark .

Tributaries

The trout raft has two nameless tributaries in the Czech Republic, which collect the spring water from the ground between Sonneberg and Jüttelsberg as well as from Kumpfeberg. The Sonneberg water flowing in from Sonneberg flows into Neuspremberg on the left , which is also known as “Teichflössel” because of the cascade of ponds along its course.
