Forrest Goodluck

Forrest Goodluck (born August 6, 1998 in Albuquerque , New Mexico ) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Hawk from the movie The Revenant .

life and career

Forrest Goodluck was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. His father is a Navajo , the mother's roots are in the Hidatsa , Mandan , Navajo and Tsimshian tribes .

Goodluck gained his first acting experience at school, for example in performances of A Charlie Brown Christmas . Later, during his time at the Bosque School, he also appeared on various theaters in his home country. At the age of 13 he was to be cast for the film Man Called Buffalo by director Chris Eyre , which was never directed. Working with Eyre made it possible for him to have contacts with some casting directors.

Goodluck first appeared in front of the camera in 2014 in the short film Gaming . At the age of 15 he auditioned for the role of Hawk in the film The Revenant by director Alejandro González Iñárritu , which he finally got. The role, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio , Tom Hardy , Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter , gave him his breakthrough. For his portrayal of the multiracial boy, he received the 2016 Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film.

In 2018 he starred as Adam Red Eagle in the film The Miseducation of Cameron Post alongside Chloë Grace Moretz and Quinn Shephard . The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival . In 2020 he took over the role of Officer Holt in the original English version of the video game Tell Me Why by Dontnod Entertainment .
