The Fort Worth Flyers are a currently inactive NBA Development League team that was based in Fort Worth , Texas . The home games were played at the Fort Worth Convention Center .
The Flyers' only head coach was Sidney Moncrief , a former NBA player .
The club colors were blue and brown.
Club history
The Fort Worth team was assigned NBA players from the Dallas Mavericks , Charlotte Bobcats , Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers .
The Flyers began playing in the 2005/06 season after former D-League teams Greenville Groove and Mobile Revelers had merged. In their first season in Fort Worth, the team was first in the regular season with a record of 28 wins and 20 losses . In the championship final against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds , however, they then lost 108: 119.
In the 2006/07 season the Flyers were able to achieve a score of 29:21. In the Eastern Division semifinals they were defeated by the Sioux Falls Skyforce with 105: 128.
Due to financial problems, the decision was made to stop playing in the 2007/08 season.
